    Shimming can make or break an AEG. Proper shimming increases reliability, efficiency, and even ROF in some cases. Motors run cooler on properly shimmed gearsets as well. Brill Armory recommends the pinion-to-bevel shimming method and checking for proper motor alignment & height prior to shimming the gears.
